Window Managers other than openbox-3.6.1 may be used, e.g. Xfwm4-4.12.3. Notice that IceWM-1.3.12 is not a
valid replacement. Fluxbox does
work, although in this context (with lxqt-config-0.10.0) openbox-3.6.1 is
better. The /etc/xdg/lxqt/windowmanagers.conf
comes with
several examples of Window Managers and the ones which are
installed will appear in a drop down list of lxqt-config-session. For the ones
not included in /etc/xdg/lxqt/windowmanagers.conf
, you can use
the lxqt-config-session "search"
button, e.g. for Fluxbox-1.3.7, navigating through the file
system until you can choose fluxbox. Alternatively, if you
wish the Window Manager of your choice to appear in the drop down
list, include it in /etc/xdg/lxqt/windowmanagers.conf
. For Fluxbox-1.3.7, include the line
fluxbox/Name=Fluxbox
and it will appear as an option in the drop down list. To change the WM, after selecting it, you need to restart the session.
