The Gawk package contains programs for manipulating text files.

Required disk space: 17 MB

Gawk installation depends on: Bash, Binutils, Coreutils, Diffutils, GCC, Gettext, Glibc, Grep, Make, and Sed

6.20.1. Installation of Gawk

Prepare Gawk for compilation: 

./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib

Compile the package: 

make

To test the results, issue: make check.

Install the package: 

make install
