7.2.1. Installation of LFS-Network-Scripts

Install the package:

make install

Installed scripts: ifdown, ifup, ipv4-static

Installed systemd units: ifupdown@.service

Installed directories: /etc/sysconfig, /lib/services, /lib/lsb (symbolic link)

ifdown	Stops a network device.
ifup	Initializes a network device.
ipv4-static	Provides the functionality needed to assign a static Internet Protocol (IP) address to a network interface.
