Intltool-0.50.2
Introduction to Intltool
The Intltool is an
internationalization tool used for extracting translatable strings
from source files, collecting the extracted strings with messages
from traditional source files (<source
directory>/<package>/po
) and merging the
translations into .xml
, .desktop
and .oaf
files.
This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.5
platform.

Installation of Intltool
Install Intltool by running the
following commands:
./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make
To test the results, issue: make
check.
Now, as the root
user:
make install &&
install -v -m644 -D doc/I18N-HOWTO \
/usr/share/doc/intltool-0.50.2/I18N-HOWTO
