User Notes: http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/caribou
Install Caribou by running the following commands:
./configure --prefix=/usr \ --sysconfdir=/etc \ --disable-gtk2-module \ --disable-static && make
This package does not come with a testsuite.
Now, as the root
user:
make install
--disable-gtk2-module
:
Because GNOME now uses
GTK+-3, this module has no use on
a GNOME desktop. Remove this
switch if you still want to build the GTK+-2 module.
--disable-static
: This
switch prevents installation of static versions of the libraries.
