+
A pdf file of a modified 20030909 CVS has been uploaded to my public section of the LFS server.

 +
To produce the pdf requires role xsl processing, then db2latex xsl processing plus about 20 edits. There remains two errors in pdflatex processing which appear to be the same problem with two anchors that I have not gotten to yet and most of the visual errors (missing links with Labels in requried sections) are related to <screen> in the intro sections that are not edited yet. Tables have been removed, but I hope to return them after the cleanup process.

 +
The objective here is to create a companion book for LFS, I already see a couple of format issues that I will need to find out how Gerard did the book (i.e. why are my fancy headers all caps and the legalnotice page) and then see if it can be converted back to docbook or added in the header or as an edit.

 +
Please review and make comments on content and visual appearance. Referencing differences to the published LFS book page number would be most helpful.

 +
Gerard, you might can get you wish, if the reviewers don't find too much.

If no major issues came up, instead of releasing LFS-5.0-RC2 on the 22nd, we can release LFS-5.0 itself.

Testing and QA teams: is this plan workable taking your own schedules and available time into consideration. This timeline stands and breaks with your availability, so this is of course flexible and can be changed before we commit to anything.
