Yes, thanks Subhash. That's a good point. Many of the filesystems on the 
LFS LiveCD are modular. You'll probably want to build whichever 
filesystem you use into the kernel as well. As Subhash said, just find 
the appropriate variables in .config file and change them from 'M' to 'Y'.
