Have a 19" Philips LCD Monitor (190B) newly installed. At booting
boot: linux vga=795
After bootup runlevel 3, ran;
could not start X-server with following warning displayed;
CANNOT DISPLAY THIS VIDEO
MOD, CHANGE COMPUTER DISPLAY
INPUT 1280X1024 at 60HZ
Tried 794 and 792 with the same result.
Finally edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf, adding following line on SubSection
Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768"
Please advise what mistake I committed at boot. TIA
