Message-ID: <200801162321.43610.rgetz@blackfin.uclinux.org> Can someone confirm that their version of link (2.1pre32) renders things that look like what are posted on the screenshots: http://links.twibright.com/features.php None of the pages look like the screen shots when I run it... It is almost like it does not load the css ?? Thanks -Robin From edrosten at lanl.gov Fri Jan 18 11:28:04 2008 From: edrosten at lanl.gov (Edward Rosten) Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 11:28:04 -0700 (MST) Subject: [links] Updated patches for 2.1pre32 (XDnD support, italic font) Message-ID: Updated patches for Links-2.1pre32 links-2.1pre32-dnd.patch.gz --------------------------- Install the patch and recompile. Provides allows links to act as a drop target for dran 'n' drop. For fun, load up the attached test.rtf in your favourite DnD capable wordprocessor (such as OpenOffice 1 or 2), select the text and drag it over to links. To be done: Better integration. DnD doesn't work when a dialog box is present. This is because I can't quite figure out how to make it work in links. The DnD engine generate B_DND_DROP and B_DND_REQUEST which the event handler needs to respond to. I can't figure out how to get dialogs to respond to these events. links-2.1pre32-italic.patch.gz ------------------------------ Install the patch and do: bash extra_fonts.sh Then recompile. This patch adds italics and a fair number of accented characters are included. latin.map describes how to merge accents with letters to make accented glyphs. The font is rendered using ghostscript and a postscript font. NetPBM is used to process the rendered bitmaps. Both patches work together without interference. Thanks for the pointer. Given the amount of sites using CSS today (it is afterall - older than 10 years - http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS10/ ) and has a pretty good test suite: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/Test/CSS1/20070302/ Is anyone interested in doing this for a bounty? If so, how much? If so, how much? Three users already offered $100 each for implementing javascript (http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/links-list/2007-April/004674.html http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/links-list/2007-April/004679.html http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/links-list/2007-April/004680.html ), which requires CSS, but the original developers don't want to. They don't want to advertise a bounty on the Links web page (http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/links-list/2007-April/004680.html), or enter for GSOC ( http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/links-list/2007-April/004687.html). So where can we advertise it?
