question about gcc compilation pass 2 in lfs6.6 in chapter 5

Don't know, that's not enough information. However, one obvious problem 
is that this is the wrong directory name - you should be building gcc 
from $LFS/sources/gcc-build. Also, there should not be a "1" in the 
name. Looks like you need to read page 5.3 very carefully.
