No, since the recompiled linker for /lib and /usr/lib is copied to 
/tools/bin/ld-new. /tools/bin/ld is still the one that looks in /tools, 
which is why in the "Readjusting the Toolchain" step /tools/bin/ld-new 
is renamed ld.
