Right after toolchain adjustment in chap6:

ignoring nonexistent directory "/tools/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/
4.1.2/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/include"
#include "..." search starts here:
#include <...> search starts here:
  /usr/include
  /tools/include
  /tools/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.2/include

Right after building gcc in chap6:

ignoring nonexistent directory "/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/
4.1.2/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/include"
#include "..." search starts here:
#include <...> search starts here:
  /usr/local/include
  /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.2/include
  /usr/include

Looks normal to me

William
