These are from linux-libc-headers-2.6.12.0?

Could you show the contents of /tools/include/asm/errno.h? I don't
think it should be including asm-generic/errno.h. This is what mine
looks like:

#ifndef _I386_ERRNO_H
#define _I386_ERRNO_H

#ifndef _LINUX_ERRNO_H
 #include <linux/errno.h>
#endif

#endif

These are the headers on your host. It shouldn't be trying to use
these. It should be using the new headers in /tools/include. However,
is this x86_64 you're trying to build on?

Do you have the source tree as a subdirectory of the build directory?
They should be at the same level, and preferably in /sources or
another dedicated build directory, not in the root of $LFS or /tools.
You should have:

/sources/glibc-build
/sources/glibc-2.3.6
