Do you use ntp?  I was getting failures in the timer tests for glibc
when ntp was running.  Obviously, if you're running ntp, with no
network connection, the clock won't be adjusted.    Then you can just
stop the ntpd daemon.  Unless you're not running ntp.  Then I have no
idea.
