Please stop using _base64_ MIME.

What is the KOI8-R charset?

Plain text (ASCII or an International variant) is much easier to read
that the above base64 code. Some people still use e-mail clients that
don't automatically decode base64 encoded attachments.

It is easy to configure Outlook to send plain text - just click on the
proper menu item. Most e-mail clients send messages in plain text, by
default, since every e-mail client can handle plain text.

------

Further explanation:

I've never seen anything other than plain text allowed on any mailing
list I've subcribed to. Is non-text or (base64) encoded text actually
permitted on LFS mailing lists?

------

Sorry, I just had to respond after seeing days of such non-plain text
polluting (in my opinion and many others) the LFS-support mailing list.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
