since it is assumed that anyone using the book is familiar with linux, 
it shouldn't really be needed to have pointers to recommended reading.
specially when it's more often than not going to be pointing to tldp.
which is so easily found. not in the book itself at least.
maybe included in the faq, on the site, since when hitting a sticky 
point the site is the first place people are going to check for answers 
if it isn't in the book.
(to even sign up for this list you have to hit the site.)
