Hi All,

I have a problem with bash in the toolchain in Chapter
5.29.

It compiles fine and also I can start it and type
in any command, it runs the command and gives me the
message of the command (if there is some) but after
this I get no prompt again and bash is consuming all
cpu till I give it a SIGKILL.

run the bash:

lfs at cb2:/lfs/tools/bin> ./bash
bash-3.00$ dir bash
bash
[no more prompt, no more messages]

top after this:

~ PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
27138 lfs 25 0 2900 1432 2308 R 97.8 0.3 2:17.38 bash
~ 4572 root 15 0 94876 24m 71m S 0.7 4.9 1:10.13 X
~ 5126 cb 15 0 31784 17m 27m S 0.7 3.4 0:02.12 kdeinit

any hint where to have a look would be very helpful.

only way out:

kill -9 27138

thanks
cb
