OK. I made block devices /dev/hd{ab}*, change this in menu.lst, and
install grub to MBR of hdb:

:~--- start grub install ---
> root (hd1,0)
> setup (1)
 Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... no
 Checking if "/grub/stage1" exists... yes
 Checking if "/grub/stage2" exists... yes
 Checking if "/grub/e2fs_stage1_5" exists... yes

Running "embed /grub/e2fs_stage1_5 (hd1)"... 16 sectors are embedded.
succeeded
Running "install /grub/stage1 (hd1) (hd1)1+16 p (hd1,0)/grub/stage2
/grub/menu.lst"... succeeded
Done.
:~--- end grub install ---

Then I reboot box and get FS problem after chosing item from GRUB bootmenu:

Booting 'LFS SVN-20041017'
root (hd1,0)
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x83
kernel (1,0)/lfskernel-2.6.8.1 root=/dev/hdb2
Error 17: Cannot mount selected partition

BUT, for Slackware item I get only that Filesystem type is ext2fs and also
error 17.

Weird is that I format my partitions with mke2fs and mkreiserfs (for var
on hdb6) before start building LFS. dumpe2fs for /dev/hdb1 report this:

In kernel I include builtin support for EXT2, EXT3 and REISERFS, also
builtin support for IDE controllers (as in my 2.6.2 kernel config). Weird.

What I'm forgot to do? DAMN, I get headache...
