LFS-5.1-Pre1: Binutils configure error

Hi everybody,

I had, earlier, installed LFS-5.1-Pre and took it to conclusion with BLFS-5,
GNOME desktop built on it. This showed no major problems with LFS-5.1-Pre
and with BLFS-5.0.

By mistake I ruined that system-build and am trying to 'restart from real
scratch'.

The system I use for this build is the same as earlier: Intel P4, 256 MB
Ram, dual-booting SuSe-8.1 alongwith Windows XP.

This time building LFS-5.1-Pre, I have landed with a strange error, right in
'Binutils' in Pass1 itself. The bash output is reproduced below:

binutils-2.14/md5.sum

What went wrong? Can anyone figure this? I cannot.

I did eveything as in the Book - I think.

Please help.
