LFS 5.0, Ch. 5, Gcc-3.3.1, Pass 2

Thanks to all who responded.  I decided to start all over again, with
the 2.4.24 kernel and a cleaner organisation via scripts (before, I
manually copied from the book with gpm, which may be error-prone and
is certainly less convenient).  The main reason for this is that the
cost of having to start again at a much later stage seems too high.

As it turns out, 11000+ of the failures are timeouts and look like
this (gcc-build/gcc/testsuite/gcc.log):

The Knoppix version is fairly recent: 2003-09-24beta, I think.
