Hello,

I work on AMD 2600 with 512 RAM. I use the Mandrake 10.0.
In the chapter 6 of Manual LFS 5.1.1, when I want configure groff, I have the
error following :

root:/sources/groff-1.19# PAGE=letter ./configure --prefix=/usr
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output... a.out
checking whether the C compiler works... yes
checking whether we are cross compiling... no
checking for suffix of executables...
checking for suffix of object files... o
checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... none needed
checking for g++... g++
checking whether we are using the GNU C++ compiler... yes
checking whether g++ accepts -g... yes
checking that C++ compiler can compile simple program... no
configure: error: a working C++ compiler is required
root:/sources/groff-1.19#

You can find my config.log bellow :

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by configure, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.54. Invocation command line was
