No. That is telling you that it's ignoring a non-existant directory, simple
as that. It's harmless and also happns on x86.

I note that the include search list also contains "/usr/include". The gcc
specs patch cantains code to get rid of that. Maybe it doesn't do the job on
Sparc. You did apply the GCC specs patch in pass 2, yes?

At to the original problem, dunno. Best thing I can think of is to see what
the script is up to by running it like so:

sh -x ./configure

capture the output. Put the log up in addition to yuor other one so that we
can all see if anything looks strange.
