Just to clarify, 3rd and 4th ide in this context means tertiary and quaternary
ide channels (ports) each of which can have two devices, master and slave.
They corespond to hde, hdf on 3 ; hdg, hdh on 4. But your right, it is very
unlikely that a laptop would have them.
