compile error binutils-2.14 pass 1 (chapter 5, lfs-5.0)

Redownloading binutils and compiling with gcc-3.2.1 didn't help.
To install lfs-4.01 I downloaded the bootable-CD and
installation worked allmost automatic. Don't know what
I'm doing wrong!?!
