newbie problem with hard disk space...

Hello,
        1gb should be more than enough... but if you want more room 
later on a nice program to use is parted. It can resize and move all but 
the NTFS partition. Get the bootdisks because it won't change mounted 
partitions. http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/parted.html
