Hi all

Recently I made my seconde lfs install
with the help of Cris Lingard cd lfs 4.0 as host.
For rebooting I created a boot floppy as follows.

 asking for the root device:

 root:/# rdev /mnt/lfs/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.19
 Root device /dev/hda1

which was not correct because I used hdb2, so:

 root:/# rdev /mnt/lfs/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.19 /dev/hdb2

 asking again:

 root:/# rdev /mnt/lfs/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.19
 Root device /dev/hdb2

and to create the boot floppy:

 root:/# dd if=/mnt/lfs/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.19 of=/dev/fdo bs=8192
 .................
 .................
 root:/#reboot

and remove cdrom disc during rebooting

 hope this could help someone
                 L.D.
