I had a similar problem with an another program.
try in your host environment a "file $LFS/static/bin/make" to see if you
really compil it statically.
If not it is not the case, you should compil it again but in a static way

Objet : make does not work after chroot

After I chroot to the new file system, executing /static/bin/make returns
this error:

bash: /static/bin/make: No such file or directory

The file is there and I was able to execute it from $LFS/static/bin before
chroot.

  What could be the problem?

  Gary
