What is your path when you do the 2nd glibc compile?

I don't think the book's instructions are quite right yet. Could you try
entering the chroot, using /bin/bash instead of /static/bin/bash and also
make sure the PATH has no mention of /static/bin.

If this doesn't fix it, we'll really need to examine a core dump with gdb to
find out where in the code it is segfaulting.
