Looks to be binutils related. You're in Chapter 6 so at this point you
should have the static binutils from Ch 5.

Sure you actually compiled binutils in Ch 5?
Sure the binutils are statically linked?
(from outside the chroot, do "file $LFS/static/bin/ld" and it should tell you)
