screen, no more ptys... devpts/devfs needed ?

You'll need devpts; make sure you have this line in your /etc/fstab:

devpts     /dev/pts     devpts  defaults              0 0

Of course /dev/pts file system & Unix98 PTY support must me enabled
in the kernel.

Alternatively you can use devfs, but it's probably not worth the hassle.
