Hello all,

I'm tying to compile glibc-2.2.5 in chapter 6 from the LFS book 4.0 with
this command:

patch -Np1 -i ../glibc-2.2.5-2.patch &&
touch /etc/ld.so.conf &&
mkdir ../glibc-build &&
cd ../glibc-build &&
../glibc-2.2.5/configure --prefix=/usr --disable-profile \
    --enable-add-ons --libexecdir=/usr/bin &&
echo "cross-compiling = no" > configparms &&
make &&
make install &&
make localedata/install-locales &&
exec /static/bin/bash --login

But after a while i get this output:

mv -f /usr/bin/iconv.new /usr/bin/iconv
/static/bin/install -c /usr/src/tarballs/glibc-build/iconv/iconvconfig
/usr/sbin/iconvconfig.new
/static/bin/install: cannot stat `/usr/sbin/iconvconfig.new': Not a

/static/bin/install -c /usr/src/tarballs/glibc-build/iconv/iconv_prog
/usr/bin/iconv.new
mv -f /usr/bin/iconv.new /usr/bin/iconv

make: *** [install] Error 2

The native distro is mandrake 8.2
I don't know what i did wrong.
Can somebody get me going again?

Thanks in advance.
