  Subject: INIT: problem

  Hi,

Hope someone can help me. I have just installed my first LFS (4.0) system. Everything is fine except just
before I get to the logon prompt I get the following error:

      INIT: cannot execute /etc/rc.d/rc

I get the same error when I run shutdown.

I have checked my inittab file and it is exactly the same as in the book.

Why is it looking there for that file? Should it be there? Help!!!

  Thanks

  Greg
