Ch 7 /etc/hosts

I don't know what to do for the /etc/hosts file. The system has a NIC
card connected to a cable modem, from which my ISP leases me an IP for
an 8 or 12 hour period. The IP is pretty much static but might change
at some point in the future. What do I put?
There are no webservers or anything else running on this machine, just a
cable modem for net access.
