no compiling after 'no power'

Oops, sorry. Now how did I miss those?

Anyway, looking at a freshly untarred Linux-2.4.18 source tree, the
first compile error cannot happen. The case values it is complaining
about are not even conditionally defined. Did you patch the sources to
upgrade, or are you extracting from linux-2.4.18.tar.bz2 (or *.gz)?

Try downloading a new linux tarball (sorry).
