Yes. You need a patch to ncurses for PPC and I've no idea where to get one
from. Once upon a time there was a LFS-PPC versoin but it was removed
because nobody was maintaining it anymore. It used to have links to the
ncurses ppc patches. You can try to use the search engine at
http://search.linuxfromscratch.org and see if you can find those old links
and hopefully they still work.
