Network card problem

I successfully installed LFS 3.2-rc2, but I can't get my network card to
run. When booting I get the message "eth0: device not found"

What could be the problem? I have a "RealTek RTC-8029", which is a PCI
NE2000 clone and works with the ne2k-pci.o module on my current system
(SuSE 7.1 w/ Kernel 2.2.x). I compiled the ne2k-pci.o module from the
LFS kernel too, but still it doesn't work.

Would the kernel messages help?
