Linux From Scratch: Version 3.2-rc1(2)
Chapter 6. Installing basic system software
Installing Glibc-2.2.5

While installing LFS on a PowerPC Macintosh System, I have this Error:

gcc ../sysdeps/powerpc/dl-machine.c -c -O2 -Wall -Winline -Wstrict-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -g -mnew-mnemonics -Wa,-mppc -mpowerpc      -I../include -I. -I/root/glibc-build/elf -I.. -I../libio  -I/root/glibc-build -I../sysdeps/powerpc/elf -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/pthread -I../sysdeps/pthread -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix/sysv -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/unix -I../linuxthreads/sysdeps/powerpc -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/powerpc -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux -I../sysdeps/gnu -I../sysdeps/unix/common -I../sysdeps/unix/mman -I../sysdeps/unix/inet -I../sysdeps/unix/sysv -I../sysdeps/unix/powerpc -I../sysdeps/unix -I../sysdeps/posix -I../sysdeps/powerpc/fpu -I../sysdeps/powerpc -I../sysdeps/wordsize-32 -I../sysdeps/ieee754/flt-32 -I../sysdeps/ieee754/dbl-64 -I../sysdeps/powerpc/soft-fp -I../sysdeps/ieee754 -I../sysdeps/generic/elf -I../sysdeps/generic   -D_LIBC_REENTRANT -include ../include/libc-symbols.h     -o /root/glibc-build/elf/dl-ma!
chine.o
../sysdeps/powerpc/dl-machine.c:33: #error This will not work with versioning turned off, sorry.
make[2]: *** [/root/glibc-build/elf/dl-machine.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/glibc-2.2.5/elf'
make[1]: *** [elf/subdir_lib] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/glibc-2.2.5'
make: *** [all] Error 2

There (../sysdeps/powerpc/dl-machine.c) is:

/* Because ld.so is now versioned, these functions can be in their own file;
   no relocations need to be done to call them.
   Of course, if ld.so is not versioned... */
#if !(DO_VERSIONING - 0)
#error This will not work with versioning turned off, sorry.
#endif

What is the procedure to install in this case please?
