Hi,

Encountered a little problem so I hope someone can help me.

I'm trying to install binutils-2.11.2. but I can't get the configure script
to run. I using a Redhat 7.1 intel system.

First I tried:

cd $LFS/usr/src/binutils-2.11.2
./configure --prefix=$LFS/usr --disable-nls &&

This results in the following messages:

Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /mnt/lfs/usr/src/binutils-2.11.2 using "mt-frag"
Configuring intl...
./configure: cd: intl: No such file or directory
Created "Makefile" in /mnt/lfs/usr/src/binutils-2.11.2 using "mt-frag"
Configuring intl...
./configure: cd: intl: No such file or directory
Created "Makefile" in /mnt/lfs/usr/src/binutils-2.11.2 using "mt-frag"
Configuring intl...
.......
And so it repeats.

So I read the readme and it recommends I do the following

cd ..
mkdir objdir
cd objdir
 ../binutils-2.11.2/configure --prefix=$LFS/usr --disable-nls

Which results in:

Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /mnt/lfs/usr/src/objdir using "mt-frag"
Configuring intl...
../binutils-2.11.2/configure: cd: intl: No such file or directory
No configuration information in intl
Configuring libiberty...
../binutils-2.11.2/configure: cd: libiberty: No such file or directory
No configuration information in libiberty
[ lots of similar messages deleted]
Configuring etc...
../binutils-2.11.2/configure: cd: etc: No such file or directory
No configuration information in etc

So I'm a bit of a loss.

Thanks

Cameron
