Hi all,

when I try to install make in chroot I get a Segmentation fault.

I know, it's just the manpage which is already installed in Ch05,
but considering my other problem with fileutils (there is another
thread about it), I think there is something seriously wrong on my
system.

Maybe it is one of the differences from the book:

kernel-2.4.10 - works fine on my building system
omitting ed+gettext - ed shouldn't matter, and I thought gettext is
only for internationalization, which I don't need
omitting installing locales from glibc - shouldn't matter for the
same reason as gettext
not using Makedev but installing devices i thought of important by
hand - could it be I forgot s.th. important or made a mistake (I
can post the device list if helpful)

I installed a 3.0rc2 system without problems, so I don't think its
the hardware.

Any opinions ?????
