Before you throw away your broken memory, I think you may be interested to
know that there's a kernel patch which allows linux to run with bad ram
(funny enough, it's called the badRAM patch). Check it out at
http://rick.vanrein.org/linux/badram. Also check out memtest86
(http://memtest86.com).
