lfs won't boot

Hello, 

I solved (the first) problem by reinstalling the kernel by changing the
$LFS/usr/src/linux/arch/i386/defconfig file which was set on CONFIG_MPENTIUMIII=y
and now is CONFIG_M586=y

It's bootin' fine till it stops and kills init at a point where it looks for
auto. Can't imagine Linux needs a car to continue here.......
