Hello,

I am having trouble compiling GCC-2.95.3
its keeps telling me there is No rule to make target `bootstrap'.

what could this mean?

here are the last few lines of the output. (hope that this is enough info for
you lot, i will send some more if not)

make[2]: Entering directory `/mnt/lfs/usr/src/gcc-build/libiberty/testsuite'
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/usr/src/gcc-build/libiberty/testsuite'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/usr/src/gcc-build/libiberty'
Bootstrapping the compiler
make[1]: Entering directory `/mnt/lfs/usr/src/gcc-build/gcc'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `bootstrap'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/usr/src/gcc-build/gcc'
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2

Thankyou

Giles
