Well, to start with instead of /tools netbsd is using /
tooldir.NetBSD-1.6-i386. We could use /tooldir-Linux-2.4-i686 (or whatever 
you're compiling for) to be more portable; uname -smr gives this. The specs 
patch could be modified for this too. The init scripts would have to be 
checked over to make sure they work on just about any system. If a script is 
for iptables or cryptoloop (os specific things) it would have to be seperated 
and sourced from another file, so it can be easily removed or replaced, like 
a module sorta. These two things wouldn't be too difficult to do right now 
and wouldn't have any real negitive affect.
