Perhaps I was exaggerating. I've been thinking of adding
somewhere in http://elinks.cz/ a table like this:
Platform Tested release Status or advice
-------- -------------- ---------------------------------------
AIX ? ?
BeOS ? ?
Digital Unix ? ?
FreeBSD ELinks 0.11.1 Crashes with bug 919; fixed in 0.11.3.
HP-UX ? ?
IRIX ? ?
Linux alpha ELinks 0.9.1 Crashes with Debian bug 262514.
Linux x86 ELinks 0.11.3 Debian bug 337159 may be Linux-specific.
OpenBSD ? ?
OS/2 ? ?
RISC OS ELinks 0.4.2.99-1 Unix Porting Project offers binaries.
SunOS ELinks 0.11.3 Use gmake rather than make. To avoid
"config/install.sh: No such file or
directory", either build outside
the source directory or apply [link
to patch]. Ignore "gcc: unrecognized
option `-rdynamic'".
Windows ? ?
It might be good to mention the version of SunOS here, and
especially the type of processor, as ELinks has had trouble with
64-bit pointers in the past.
People installing ELinks should not have to look in this table;
all the bugs should be listed in bugzilla.or.cz and eventually
fixed, and the other information should be added to be INSTALL
file. However, this would be a place for things that are found
only after a release.
