[blfs-support] /dev/fb0 not being created on boot

The vga= setting has been deprecated for some time.  Use video=1024x768 
or similar resolution.

I'm not sure why you don't have /dev/fb0, my 3.11.4 kernel has it:

$ grep FB /boot/config-3.11.4-1|grep -v ^#
CONFIG_FB=y
CONFIG_FB_BOOT_VESA_SUPPORT=y
CONFIG_FB_CFB_FILLRECT=y
CONFIG_FB_CFB_COPYAREA=y
CONFIG_FB_CFB_IMAGEBLIT=y

CONFIG_FB_MODE_HELPERS=y
CONFIG_FB_TILEBLITTING=y
CONFIG_FB_VESA=y
