Gnome misbehavior

Hi all,

In my AMD64 Pure 64 CBLFS system running kernel 2.6.30.5 I recently
upgraded to Xorg 7.5 and also Gnome 2.28.

I have not had any problems with X configuration or else but when I
fire Gnome through startx in terminal there is black screen until
gnome terminal appears as well as firefox session an other
application. Then the gnome's green leaf background sows itself and
that's it. There is no panel and no bottom status bar. I can see the
reserved space (horizontal strip on upper and bottom edges of screen)
showing only background.

I've been trying to solve this for two weeks now but wit no success. I
first installed gnome-panel without the fixes-patch,ten reinstalled
with the patch applied. I also tried downgrading to 2.26.3 but the
result is te same.

Prior to try Gnome 2.28 I was running 2.26 (bot in /opt) with no
problem until Xorg upgrade because there is no libxcb-xlib anymore and
2.26 was compiled with it so I decided to upgrade Gnome once I
upgraded Xorg.

Following is an extract of session log for clarification. I appreciate
any hint on this.

Alonso
