Xorg re-configuring problems from via-unichrome to nvidia GPU//FIXED

I have fix'd (..er worked round) the problem. The work-round is to use the
linux framebufer /dev/fb0. (Curiously even when I inserted a rule
in /etc/udev/rules.d and created a device /dev/Gforce7050 using all the
attributes such as vendor, serial etc and inserted
Option "Device" "/dev/Gforce7050" under the device section in xorg.conf the
xserver refused to start. It would only work with the linux
frame-buffer. )

I more elegant solution is to use drivers from here:-
http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/

but that needs Xorg7.5 (Xserver-1.7) as a minimum.

Hope the above of help to those with nvidia cards on new-ish amd-64
machines.

cheers
