You could also look at sisfb.txt and fbcon.txt in the Documentation/fb/
dir of your linux sources.
as an aside, have others seen the logo.svg in the Documentation dir of
2.6.29? Has that been there long? I's huge, gqview takes about a minute
on this old beater.
