Just last night actually. Let's see if I can't remember how I did it:

tar -xzvf wxPythonSrc-2.4.2.4.tar.gz
mkdir wxPython-build && cd wxPython-build
../wxPythonSrc-2.4.2.4/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-rpath=/usr
--with-opengl --enable-geometry --enable-optimise --enable-debug_flag
--enable-gtk2 --enable-unicode
make
su
make install

#wxPythonGTK is now in /usr
exit
cd ../wxPythonSrc-2.4.2.4/wxPython
python setup.py WX_CONFIG=/usr/bin/wx-config WXPORT=gtk2 UNICODE=1 \
build
su
python setup.py WX_CONFIG=/usr/bin/wx-config WXPORT=gtk2 UNICODE=1 \
install

#wxPython is now in /usr as well

tar -xzvf BitTorrent-3.3.tar.gz
cd BitTorrent-3.3
python setup.py build
su
python setup.py install --prefix=/usr

#BitTorrent is now in /usr

I also needed to edit/create an /etc/mailcap with the following (all on
one line):
application/x-bittorrent; /usr/bin/btdownloadgui.py --responsefile%s;
test=test -n "$DISPLAY"

Hope this helps,

Matt.
