Whoops, lack of attention to detail.  Andre's mail arrives here with '?'
(0x3f) but after Declan quotes it it turns to the Z (0xb4).  I've read
Declan's response to Andre since my earlier mail, I'm fairly sure it's
something in mutt converting it.
